Has over 20 years of administrative/leadership experience managing in several non-profits and philanthropic organizations and has worked since 1999 in an early childhood non-profit organization with experience in statistical reports/analysis, grant writing, and human resource management. Jim Heckel: President 33 years of hi-tech Corporate Management experience within Global Procurement/Materials Management, Engineering, IT, Project Management, Quality Control Management (TCQ, TQM, 6-Sigma), Order Processing, Process Engineering, Product Development, Manufacturing Management, Business Unit Management all involving leadership of Global Teams. James Hepburn: Program Committee Director A medical student at Barts and the London, James has experience in development projects with a number of organizations in India and Africa. A Graduate of Amherst College, with a Post Graduate Diploma from Cass Business school in London in Charity Management and Fundraising. Years of service: 2007 to present. Aimee Markwardt: Media and Promotions HeckelA@dailycamera.com More than eight years as a reporter at a daily newspaper, including special reports to Third World countries, including Uganda and Haiti. Graduated summa cum laude from Colorado State University with degrees in Journalism and German, and also attended University of Heidelberg in Germany. Has been volunteering at a refugee camp for four years. Spent six months helping rebuild the Gulf Coast after Hurricane Katrina, with an emphasis on public relations and administration/organization for construction teams. Currently a features writer and columnist for the Boulder Daily Camera and the editor of Women's Magazine. Years of service: 2007 to present. Ray Tollison Has been working in Marketing and Design for the past 15 years. He is currently the Web Marketing/Design Director for World Relief. He is also the co-founder of Think Compassion, running several education related projects in the country of Rwanda. Years of service: 2007 to present. Rod Vaughn Rod Vaughn, disaster response trainer, is an Emergency Coordinator for the U.S. Department of Transportation, a Member of the Federal Emergency Response Transportation Team through FEMA, a former Member of the Wyoming Office of Homeland Security Anti-Terrorism Advisory Counsel and a Professional Engineer Licensed in Wyoming and Colorado. Past positions include residential construction, water and wastewater estimator and construction manager, highway engineer and bridge designer. Rod has 23 years experience and has participated in the 2004 Florida hurricanes, Katrina area (six trips), and the Asian tsunami response efforts. Years of service: 2007 to present. Cindy Rauschenberger Cindy is a junior at The Womens College of Denver University pursuing her bachelors degree in Business Administration. She has 26 years of experience in Administration, Training, Human Resources, Safety/Environmental, Procurement and Project Management working for two of the top Colorado based corporations Adolph Coors Company and Frontier Airlines Inc. She also works part-time with an auction event firm providing Management and Leadership to organizations during their fund-raising events. Years of service: 2008 to present. Kim Paulsen Kim is currently a Senior Vice President of Penton Media, managing the Technology and Entertainment market segments. She is working to build out next generation publishing methods through social networking and user generated communication. Kim and her family Eric, Sydney and Jordan watched the Invisible Children video and started looking for ways they could help out children and families in Africa and Uganda. They are members of Cross Roads church, where Kim attended the focus on AIDS discussion and met Beth Heckel and learned more about Think Humanity. Kim said, being a part of Think Humanity has been a life changing experience for our family, having now found a way to get involved in other peoples lives who so desperately and graciously need help. Years of service: 2008 to present. Sean Macready Sean is currently employed by the Loveland Chamber of Commerce. He is very active in the Loveland Mountain View Rotary Club, having been a Director on the Board, an Officer and has been nominated as Club President for the 2010-2011 Rotary year. Sean has become very passionate about Think Humanity since he had the opportunity to lead a Hoedown event to benefit TH through his Rotary club. Years of service: 2008 to present. Joe Bergholz: Operations Manager 31 years of leadership experience in Operations of multi-billion dollar corporations culminating at a vice president level. He has been a general manager of several operations, including an overseas assignment in The Netherlands. Knowledge base includes leadership development, performance management, process excellence, organizational design and financial management. His passion is to help accelerate the growth rate of positive impact on African refugees. Education: BS Industrial Engineering University of Nebraska; MBA Colorado State University.
