Also for funding the livestock shed, latrine, a portion of orphanage building and furniture for orphanage (CLC). The grant was received September 2008.
A very special thank you to Americans For Philanthropy for allowing Think Humanity to speak at their February 2009 dinner event in Alamo, California and to return and be on a panel in October 2009 at the Diablo Country Club in California. Thank you for the grant in February 2009 and the scholarship fund donation in May 2009. Donations went towards the Girls' Hoima Hostel, Coburwas Learning Centre, medical bills and other items.
Mountain View Rotary Club of Loveland, for fundraising for Think Humanity at their annual Hoedown event in April 2009. $7,000 went towards the purchase of 1,400 mosquito nets.
Red Empress Foundation for giving a grant to Think Humanity in May 2009. The $1,500 grant went towards the purchase of 300 mosquito nets that were distributed to refugees in the Kyangwali Refugee Settlement Camp in Uganda in June 2009. Think Humanity received a second grant for $5,000 in April 2010 to purchase 1,000 mosquito nets to go to refugees in Kyaka II Refugee Settlement Camp in Uganda.
Birthing Kit Foundation (Australia) for the grant for 200 birthing kits to give to expectant refugee women in the Kyangwali Refugee Settlement in Uganda. Thank you Charity Watson for the seminar and training. Think Humanity received a second grants in April 2010 for 200 more birthing kits.
Overlooked sold 200 malaria awareness t-shirts for World Malaria Day 2009. Their donation was received May 2009 and $1,000 went towards the purchase of 200 mosquito nets. Thank you Overlooked for raising donations for 64 mattresses in December 2009 to go to the girls at the Girls' Hoima Hostel. Purchase a Malaria Kills t-shirt through Overlooked and they will donate towards the purchase of a mosquito net.
Kim, Eric, Sydney and Jordan for sponsoring Phoebe with her education and the donation for 1,000 mosquito nets in 2008 and 200 nets in 2009. Also special thanks to Joe and Deb Bergholz for providing 1,000 nets to refugees in 2009 and 1,000 nets in 2010. Thank you Crocs/Crocs Cares (formally Soles United) for donating 240 pairs of shoes for refugees in Africa in 2009. Thank you Sycamore Creek Elementary School in Raleigh, North Carolina for holding a variety show where you held a refugee awareness night and as a result 342 pairs of Crocs were donated from the children and their families at Sycamore Creek Elementary School and given to refugee children in 2010.
